Amazing Health-enhancing Juices!

New research shows that exotic fruits from other parts of the world,
such as the South Asian Goji berry, pack a powerful antioxidant and
nutritional punch that far surpasses what more common fruits provide
,
explains Wayne Geilman, Ph.D., a food chemist in Pleasant Grove, Utah. These
fruits are so potent that just one shot glass-size serving (which you
can drink straight, dilute in water or seltzer, or add to smoothies) is
all you need to reap the benefits.

Turbocharge Immunity with MANGOSTEEN. The small fleshy fruit of the
Garcinia mangostana plant has been prized in Asian medicine for centuries.
Mangosteen's health effects can be credited to a powerful antioxidant
family called xanthones, including mangostin, explains Geilman. No
other fruit comes close to the high concentration of anti-inflammatory,
antibacterial and antiviral compounds in mangosteen, says Geilman. Several
studies in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology and elsewhere validate the
fruit's ability to strengthen the immune system, regulate healthy
blood pressure, relieve allergies and alleviate pain.

Boost Mood and Energy with GOJI BERRIES. The tiny red berries of the
Lycium barbarum plant are highly valued in Tibetan medicine because they
are exceptionally rich in nutrients that ease anxiety and stress,
improve sleep quality and increase energy. Goji berries contain 21 trace
minerals (more than any other fruit), including zinc, calcium, iron and
selenium. They also have 500 times more vitamin C than oranges and are
the richest source of carotenoids, explains Geilman.

Fortify every Cell against Stress with NONI. The pungent fruit of the
Noni tree (Morinda citrifolia) has been used for over 2,000 years by
South Pacific Islanders to improve digestion, detoxify organs and relieve
pain and inflammation. Noni is a uniquely rich source of proxeronine,
the precursor to the enzyme xeronine, says Carolyn Dean, M.D.,N.D.,
author of IBS fo Dummies (Wiley, 2005). This enzyme enhances cell's ability to absorb nutrients and speeds the removal of toxins to cleanse major organs, calm nerves and boost energy, says Dean.
