foods high in folate. Subjects in one Finnish study who were lacking this
B vitamin had triple the risk of blue moods. Folate helps the brain
maintain high levels of the feel-good chemical serotonin, notes Mark
Hyman, M.D., author of Ultra-Metabolism (Scribner, 2006). Food sources like
kidney beans, asparagus and avocados
can turn up the wattage on a
fading smile.
